10 WAYS RETAILERS ARE CELEBRATING WITH SHOPPERS THIS ST. PATRICK’S DAY
The spring will finally get a bit greener next week as retailers and spirited revelers alike gear up for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. According to the National Retail Foundation, consumers are expected to spend $4.8 billion on St. Patrick’s Day in 2014, with millennials responsible for much of the feting. Seventy-seven percent of 18- to 24-year-olds plan to celebrate the holiday. Another 45 percent of 25- to 34-year-olds are expected to attend a party at a bar or restaurant, also according to the NRF.
