The 75-acre, 488,000-square-foot shopping center is located at Grand Parkway and Kuykendahl Road. Grand Parkway Marketplace’s anchor store, Target, opened in March and continues to be a success in the retail space. The facility is currently 80 percent leased and nearing completion. Stores now open in Grand Parkway Marketplace include PetSmart, Burlington Coat Factory, DSW, TJ Maxx, Party City, Michaels, Ulta, and Ross Dress for Less.
Grand Parkway Marketplace is home to many well-known retail giants.
Since Grand Parkway Marketplace has so been essential to Northeast Houston’s growing infrastructure, Kimco Realty has another project in the works. Grand Parkway Marketplace II, located across the street from Grand Parkway Marketplace, is currently under development with two anchor stores secured, Hobby Lobby and Academy Sports + Outdoors, and a third under negotiation. The $52 million development will include multi-tenant retail buildings, space for restaurants, banks, and other establishments set to open in August or September 2017.
Due to the growing number of stores and restaurants in Grand Parkway Marketplace and the encompassing areas, more residents are flocking to Spring, resulting in high demand for housing, jobs, business, and healthcare development. In short, Northeast Houston is a flourishing community thanks in great part to commercial and residential development in the region.
With the opening of Kimco’s Grand Parkway Marketplace and the construction of Grand Parkway Marketplace II, Spring and the surrounding community will continue to grow as a hub for both residents and businesses.
